  ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIME

Please note, when discussing travel arrangements with other members of your party, that you will be unable to gain access to your house until after 17.00 in order that is prepared thoroughly.You should leave your house on departure day not later than 10.00 a.m. to allow the cleaning for the next guest, with the exception of particular cases that can be arranged with our booking office.

 

CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR PROPERTIES

Usually the flats, even though they make part of the same facility, have different characteristics one from another. In fact, in most of the cases they were carried out without modifying the original structure of old villas, small medieval villages, farmhouses, castles and farms. Often the same furnishings change from one flat to another, even though they maintain a general style; it will be unlikely that you should find two flats with the same dimensions and characteristics.

The apartments are fully equipped for the highest number of guests estimated.

Moreover it is important to know that, for their own nature, our accommodations are mostly in the open country, and for this reason a car is often indispensable to travel, to enjoy nature, and to reach the artistic towns.

 

 

CHILDREN

Our houses welcome children warmly and holidaying amongst a society where the concept of the family remains all important, you will find that this warm welcome and interest towards children is shown everywhere. Please enquire about the availability of cots as not all villas have one.

Most of our houses have some slights hazardous feature, be they uneven steps, open staircases, balconies, terraces, ponds, swimming pools, terraced gardens, many of which are unique features of most of these properties and add to their individual character and charm. No young children should be left unsupervised at any time.

 

CHOOSING A PROPERTY

Please test our knowledge when you contact us to assess the  suitability for your party. Please give us the fullest possible information and we will help you select one that will match your requirements, whether you are travelling with several couples with infants, active grandparents or teenagers. Please remember  that the price is sometimes conditioned by location and not always an indication of comfort.

 

CREDIT CARDS

These are accepted in most restaurants in towns and cities. Small local restaurants, many shops (especially small food shops) and local petrol stations will not accept credit cards, or even Eurocheques, so make sure you always have some cash with you.

 

DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Not all the facilities accept domestic animals. For this reason guest are kindly requested to indicate their presence when you book the room, in order to avoid unpleasant problems and the no entry in the facility.

 

EVALUATION  

All the properties are classified in five categories from "one cypress" (properties simple but convenient) to "five cypresses" (best properties). This evaluation is a summary of different parameters as charm, view, privacy, furnishing, interior decoration, landscape, quality of the services (bathroom, kitchen, etc..) and so on. 

 

 

HONEYMOONS & SPECIAL OCCASION

For those celebrating a honeymoon or other special occasion, holidays can be tailor-made to meet individual request. Complimentary wine, flowers or fruit are normally provided with Umbria Resort compliments.

 

INSURANCE

We suggest clients to be insure against holiday risks.

 

LONG HOLIDAYS

Some facilities offer a discount to those who want to spend a long holiday in quiet Umbria. Look for the facilities that reward your choice.

 

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Most of our houses are located in rural situations. Whilst most local villages have a doctor, hospitals are usually over an hour away. If you have any specific concerns, we will do our best to advise you. Please ensure you have comprehensive travel insurance.

 

NOISE

Many people choose to stay in villas or cottages in rural situations because they offer a more peaceful holiday than staying in a hotel. However, please remember that staying country life, grape-picking, harvesting etc. starts early!!! If you are sensitive to noise please ensure that we are informed and we will do our best to assist you

 

 

PASSPORT & VISA

You must ensure that you have a valid passport for the duration of your holiday

SECURITY DEPOSIT

We ask you to pay a security deposit (amount specified on the individual house information sheets) . This will be held against any damages or any outstanding bills for extra maid service, extra cleaning, cooking, telephone, fax etc. which may be incurred during your holiday. You will be asked to lodge this security deposit locally with our supervisor on arrival and any unpaid bills, heating etc. will be deducted  from this deposit.

 

SWIMMING POOL

Are always freshwater and unheated unless indicated on our house information sheets. Please remember that in early season, bad weather or maintainance may delay the opening of a pool at your house and in the late season this can bring forward its closure.

For all our houses and cottages, pool towels are not provided. We have indicated in each house information sheet the approximate length and width of the pool in metres. In accordance with italian legislation for rental of properties, most pools are not more than 1,5 m. deep and some are of uniform depth (i.e. no distinct shallow or deep end).

 

VISIT TO OTHER PROPERTIES

We are always pleased, while you are in one of our houses, to arrange a visit in other of our properties provided it is convenient for any clients who are at the property at that time. Clients should arrange to visit the property with our office.

 

WEEK-END

Only in "saver and mid" season many facilities have packages with favourable prices (three days and two nights). For this information is necessary to get in touch with our booking office.
